Frequently Asked Questions

How to File a Claim
Claims must be filed directly with the official settlement administrator — not through this website.
  1. 1Wait for final approval — The settlement is currently in the preliminary approval stage. The claims portal will open after the court grants final approval (expected summer 2026).
  2. 2Gather your documents — You will need the address of the property you sold, the approximate sale date, and the name of the buyer's agent's brokerage. Your closing disclosure (HUD-1 or ALTA settlement statement) will have this information.
  3. 3Visit the official settlement website — Once the claims portal opens, visit the official administrator's website (to be announced) and complete the online claim form.
  4. 4File before September 15, 2026 — This is a hard deadline. Late claims will not be accepted under any circumstances.
